Program Information

Who attends?

The MLP target audience is executive leaders of Catholic health, aged care and social service ministries. Each cohort consists of 40 executives from across social services and the Catholic health and aged care sectors.

Session times

Each session commences at 9:30 on Day One and concludes at 2:45 on Day Two. One overnight stay is required.

Cost

The program fee is $10,000 per participant invoiced over two years. All meals and accommodation on the night of Day One are included. Accommodation and dinner is available the evening before Day One at additional cost ($215 in 2018) for those who need or wish to arrive early.

Transport

Complimentary bus transfer from Melbourne airport is available for those arriving the evening before Day One.

Out-of-session work required

Preparation ahead of each session is essential and pre-reading, usually including some reflection exercises, is available via the MLP website at least two weeks ahead of each session.

Between session work known as Action Feedback is designed by the participant to relate to their work goals and usually takes about one hour usually in work time.

Each participant is also encouraged to identify a dialogue partner of their choice. This confidential conversation is an important formation opportunity, as participants talk through the MLP process and content, especially where it is challenging and stretching.

In addition to the pre-reading, these activities might typically occupy approximately 3-4 hours between sessions, usually in work time.

Evaluation

All aspects of the program will be formally evaluated and will include an impact evaluation of both participants and agencies.

Organisation Integrational and support

A person is appointed from within each participating organisation to guide your MLP experience and support your ongoing formation so the program is effective. They are an additional resource to help with program logistics, Action Feedback, and issues or questions that may arise including about the learning itself.
